Ending the Remote Work Program

EcoDevo’s Board of Directors has decided to discontinue the Remote Work Program.

Eco Devo started offering the Remote Work Program in Fall 2019 shortly after remodeling the building at 311 N. Broadway into a business incubator and remote work space (coworking space). EcoDevo covered the cost for several people to take the Master of Remote Work Certificate course through Utah State Extension. Almost 25 people took advantage of a free 12-month membership to FlexJobs that included a professional resume review and a couple of job coaching sessions. FlexJobs is a curated online job board for remote and flexible work opportunities.  Five people ended up securing part-time remote work opportunities.

There was some success with the program, but it was never really utilized as envisioned. The board feels it is better to put time and energy toward other priorities at this time. Workspace 311 will continue to operate as a coworking space.
