For the next year, Theresa McLoyd will be working with Stafford County Economic Development (EcoDevo) as an AmeriCorps VISTA. She is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Johnson County, Kansas in 1995.

The three houses in St. John are taking shape as part of our Praire View Rental Housing! Two at the corner of 1st and Monroe and one on S. Broadway. They will be completed later this fall.

Kathleen also gave updates on childcare, housing, and the port.

Kathleen talked about the Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge, the Port being awarded a $2.5 million BASE Grant, and the current housing development. Falon gave an update on her AmeriCorps service year.

We hosted an open house on February 5 & 6 at 304 S. Main Street in Hudson. This is the first of nine additional rental houses we are building county-wide based on the house built in conjunction with K-State at 8th and Broadway in St. John.

For the next year, Falon Runnebaum will be working with Stafford County Economic Development as the AmeriCorps Workforce Development VISTA.

A project that Stafford County Economic Development (EcoDevo) worked on in conjunction with K-State’s College of Architecture, Planning and Design has been receiving a lot of publicity.
